So that you know us better!
We've been in contact with some of you for several months now and thought you might like to get to know us a little better. We will therefore present to you, at random, all the members of our team in the next Spain newsletters. Today I will start by introducing myself.
The first question is of course, why did I decide to live in Spain? Originally it was because of love. My husband, who was my partner at the time, wanted to fulfill his dream of living in Spain and for me it was an opportunity to give my life a whole new direction. And of course, I didn't want to let him go alone....
We have lived in this great country for 25 years now – that was also when we founded our company - and I feel right at home here except when it gets too hot in the summer, but then I also like to spend some time in my native country in northern Germany again. I think Spain is a great country to live here permanently or for holidays!
The Spanish people are extremely friendly and very helpful, even if you don't speak Spanish very well. During the first few years, I often had the experience of the Spaniards responding to my carefully prepared sentences with a wave of very elaborate words. First I had to learn to ask them to speak slowly in order to make it easier for me to learn the language.
The country offers endless possibilities to occupy free time. Personally, I love to walk our dog in the pine forest or on the beach in the morning before work. Cycling is also very good here. There is, for example, a wonderful track that goes from Los Arenales del Sol along the sea to Santa Pola. There are also some great routes for bike enthusiasts in the hinterland.
On weekends, when I have more time, I also like to go inland, visit the various natural parks and historical sites such as the ruins of castles, there are many of them in Spain. At the end of the day, if the opportunity arises, I like to sit down at a restaurant by the sea and enjoy a delicious meal washed down with a glass of wine. There is nothing like it to end the day in absolute relaxation.
Finally, I would also like to take this opportunity to present to you some of my favorite properties among all our offers on the continent and in Mallorca. First, for those new to properties acquisition in Spain, here are two suggestions; a small detached villa with a distant sea view in the urbanization La Marina and a nice apartment on the first floor in La Mata, just 250 m from the beautiful sandy beach.
I also include a wider variety of new developments, which of course benefit from the 10 year construction warranty. I wanted to make a selection of apartments and houses located in very good areas, either close to the beach or the marina, in well established towns or in one of our very beautiful golf courses, also with sea views. If you have any questions, I invite you to contact me, I will of course be happy to help you.
I wish you a good weekend and send you my regards from sunny Spain
