Sports and leisure
There is a wide range of leisure activities for all tastes. The golfer will find beautifully situated and spacious golf courses that are played all year round, such as Las Colinas de Campoamor Golf Resort, Campo de Golf Villamartín, Campo de Golf La Finca, Campo de Golf Las Ramblas, Saladillo Golf Club, Sierra Cortina Golf Resort, Campo de Golf Alenda and Golf & Country Club La Marquesa.
The tennis fan will find in addition to various hard courts even some tennis clubs or private groups that play on clay courts, such as in La Marina/Elche, Javea, or even on artificial lawn as in Moraira.
For those who simply seek a bit of variety, there are numerous theme and amusement parks to choose from such as Terra Mítica, Mundomar, Terra Natura and Aqualandia in Benidorm or the water park Aquopolis in Torrevieja, the safari parks in Elche and Vergel and many other attractions.
There are a lot of marinas between Denia and the bay of Mazarrón for the yacht-owners. A marvellous district stretches from Santa Pola, past the Mar Menor until Cartagena for sailing along the coast. Whoever enjoys a sailing trip can head for Formentera, the most southern Balearic Island (approx. 60 sm) in order to carry on exploring the Balearic Islands.
Of course, also all the other water sports are represented here: surfing, water-skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing.
And for the really brave there are surely various fun sports on the plan, such as quad biking in Ondara, paragliding or tandem flight in Alicante and Santa Pola, or karting on one of the many go-kart tracks along the coast.
